Sometimes you want to take your bikini travels off the beaten path to enjoy some peace and relaxation.  Some of the best beaches for this are conveniently located right here in the United States.  The east coast is full of popular beaches will a constant stream of people, but what about some peace and tranquility?  Some of the most serene beaches are in sunny Florida with its warm year round temperatures.  No Florida destination is more popular than the string of islands off the southern tip of the state known as the Florida Keys.  Some are well known, such as Key Largo or Key West while others fly below the radar, and others still are known for particular activities such as fishing.

If you are headed down through the Keys on your Way to Key West for your next bikini vacation, or if you just like to wander, be sure to take the time to stop at Bahia Honda Key around mile marker 37.  This blink-and-you-will-miss-it-place is a little slice of heaven on earth with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.  There are two absolutely beautiful beaches located within the 524-acre Bahia Honda State Park with excellent snorkeling and kayaking in the surrounding calm waters.  Bahia Honda Key is home to one of the southernmost state parks in the U.S., so it maintains its peaceful state by being mostly uninhabited.

When you get down to Key West, another of Florida’s state parks once again offers the cleanest beaches and friendliest waters. Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park offers a place to work on your tan and a little culture mixed in.  Once you have relaxed for the afternoon on the tranquil beach, you can head into Duval Street for plenty of shopping, eating and drinking which are three of the key ingredients in great bikini travels.
